Bartell Drugs, a pharmacy company based in the Washington State, recently began to offer CBD products in its 41 selected store locations, according to mg Cannabis Retailer. The CBD products will only be sold to customers that are 18 years old or older.

Consumers could choose from a wide range of CBD-infused products from different industry brands. Bartell Drugs made the announcement through its blog, along with some information about CBD.

CBD or cannabidiol is one of the many cannabinoids found in cannabis plants, including marijuana and hemp. But unlike tetrahydrocannabinol or THC, CBD does not provide a euphoric feeling after use, though it offers several health and therapeutic benefits according to several studies.

According to Bartell Drugs, it wants to offer a variety of natural remedies. The company only offers 100 percent CBD-only products that come in different forms including oils, topicals and capsules. Bartell also said that it vetted the brands that offer high-quality products made from natural ingredients—and of course, made in the United States. Some brands that Bartell offers include  Shikai, Charlotte’s Web and CV Science, among others.

Bartell Drugs’ Communications Manager Hannah Kubiak said, “We have received positive responses from our customers. Bartells believes in choice. After extensive research, it has been proven that many people find these products beneficial, and we want to be able to offer them the choice.”

Washington state is one of the first states to legalize the recreational use of marijuana, along with Colorado. The regulations toward cannabis products in the country continues to progress because despite the fact that cannabis is still federally illegal in the U.S., with varied regulations from state to state, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved a drug with CBD as an ingredient—Epidiolex. The drug was developed to treat two rare types of epilepsy.
